Selena
She was a singer, performer and designer and broke barriers in the world of music. The Mexican-American singer was also traditional. She introduced Tejano into the mainstream of music. Much like with a bright and genial star passes away in a hurry the tragic loss of her life has thrown her profile into a quagmire. People mourned the entire extent of its untapped potential. The result is that fans are enthused over time to dig and work harder to ensure that her achievements won't be lost in the dust. The tragic death of Selena by a gunman caused the outpouring of emotions within Latino communities that is comparable with the reaction to the death of Elvis Presley and John Lennon's. Selena was a hugely well-known singer for Latinos across North America. But her music touched both the young and the old. Selena was an asexual and flamboyant stage performer and was often called the Latina Madonna. In her off-stage life, Selena was also an outstanding role model, as she actively participated in antidrug and AIDS campaigning.
