Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26th, 1991) better known by her professional title Ari Lennox is an American musician and singer who hails from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be affiliated with J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. Her debut EP Pho, released which was released on 21 October 2016 was released on Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn fame. Shea Butter Baby her debut studio release was May 7th 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her music to the Internet in 2012, when she released her debut mixtape Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in 2013. In 2014 she continued to upload her music via the internet, including her self release single Bound. The 21st of July, 2015 was the day Omen featured her on his album Elephant Eyes on the track Sweat It Out. J. Cole was interested in her talents and was keen to work together with Rihanna. The announcement that she would be signed to Dreamville Records was made on the 8th of December. On the album Revenge of the Dreamers II, she appeared on the song Backseat along with Cozz. The 21st of October, 2016, her EP Pho was released. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening performer to J. Cole on his track Change in 2017 and also appeared on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. In 2018, Ari Lennox appeared on two tracks by EarthGang On Nothing but the Best, and Bas On Icarus. The 16th of July, 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single, Whipped Cream on her first album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video, which was released on the 5th of September. On November 9 she released two more singles called 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. Two additional singles were also released on the 11th of November with the titles Pedigree and One. Shea Butter Baby is a track she sang with Cole for Creed II's soundtrack on November 16th. The track was released as a stand-alone single in February of 2019 to coincide with her debut album. In February of 2019, a music clip was made available for the track. It already has nearly 3 million views on YouTube within its first week. She was one of the support acts for 6LACK in their From East Atlanta With Love Tour during December 2018.
