Anushka Sharma is a Bollywood actor as well as producer. She is acclaimed for her acting, and has been named one of the most well-paid Bollywood actors. Anushka made the move to Mumbai following her graduation and enrolled herself at the Elite Model Management, and was coached by the style consultant Prasad Bidapa. Anushka's debut as a fashion model was in the year 2017, after she modelled with Wendell Rodricks at Lakme Fashion Week followed by being selected by Rodricks to appear at his Spring Summer 2007 collection. Anushka Sharma has been involved in several brand campaigns since her Lakme Fashion Week debut. This includes campaigns for Fiat Palio and Fiat Whisper Nathella Jewelry. Anushka Sharma alongside her modelling profession, enrolled in an acting academy and began giving auditions for films. Anushka Sharma began her film career in 2008, with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The film was a collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan. She took one day to prepare for her screen test and didn't want to make an unplanned version. Later on, she was cast in three films for Yash Raj Films. In the movie she played the role of a young bride of a middle-aged man (the role Shah Rukh Khan was playing). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka played Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang and Vir Das in the film Badmash Company. The movie received mixed praises. Anushka was in a movie known as Band Baaja Baraat starring Ranveer in which she portrayed an American Punjabi girl from middle class who sets up her wedding planning business. The film was an unexpected success and was praised by the critics. In Band Baaja Baaraat, Anushka's three-film contract under Yash Raj Films banner was completed.
